Wargaming confirms takeover Total Annihilation and Master of Orion
During a press conference in Minsk Victor Kislyi, director of the Belarusian Wargaming, confirms that his company has acquired the rights to both Total Annihilation as Master of Orion. The company also has a new studio in the U.S. Open.
From court documents revealed in late July that Wargaming had been released on the rights the highest bid on both Total Annihilation as Master of Orion. They are, like the rights to various other games, because auctioned publisher Atari bankruptcy has to ask. According Kislyi the auction recently completed so Wargaming now owner can call the rights to both strategic games. The Director of the Belarusian company wants to make a sequel to both games. That large-scale projects, according Kislyi, who during his speech indicated that he was a fan of both games before he founded in 1998 Wargaming.
That was earlier this year when Wargaming the ailing Gas Powered Games took over. GPG is led by Chris Taylor, who founded the studio he was the head of the team that delivered Total Annihilation in 1997. Gas Powered Games or the new Total Annihilation going to make, is not known. During the press conference Kislyi also announced that his company has opened a studio in Austin.
