Find a Question:
What about the Star Wars’ BB-8 speelgoeddroid together?
The toy version of the BB-8-droid from the upcoming movie Star Wars The Force Awakens, is taken apart by techies to see how it works. The little droid uses a magnet and a gyroscope to keep his balance.
Because the BB-8 is not intended to be opened by users is, should the people of UBreakIFix with a small circular saw to attack the ball from the droid. What remains is a skeleton which can be thus taken out of the ball. Down the droid has two wheels for the drive, and a weight so that the wheels always grip. At the top, on a stalk is a magnet. This ensures that the “head” of the droid never too far along the ball can drop down.
In the middle of the skeleton is the electronics that UBreakIFix has not been to. The droid is able to thereby receive commands from a smartphone app. Users can control the droid, gestures as ‘yes’ and ‘no’ have made, and he can project a message, just like R2-D2 did in A New Hope. The projection, however, is only seen on the screen of your smartphone, making it an augmented reality gimmick rather than a real projection.Viewing:-185
