Why the new iPhone will not have three cameras

Before the launch of the new iPhones, it’s still about 9 months, and the Wall Street Journal already assumes that Apple’s flagship model line in 2019 will be presented by three models, including two OLED models and one with LCD. One of the new iPhones will be equipped with a triple rear camera. The successor of the iPhone XR with an LCD screen will be upgraded and will get a system of two rear cameras – just like the iPhone X and iPhone XS. How far can this be true?

Yes, the three-camera system has been surfing the Net since last weekend; the render should be based on prototypes of the new iPhone. The publication reports that the new camera features will be an essential part of the flagship iPhone of 2019. We colloquially call it “iPhone 11” for simplicity, but the final marketing names are not communicated and will not be known until the presentation.

But, most likely, that “iPhone 11” will not receive serious changes in the camera and will remain with two modules. But the three-chamber module can be designed for the largest and most expensive Apple phone. It would be logical, since the same iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max differ only in screen size and (a bit) cameras .

Analysts believe that Apple may abandon the LCD in 2020, moving to the OLED line only at the end of next year. The publication also states that the final prototype of the new iPhone has not yet been approved. This means that you should not take all leaks seriously.

Last weekend, the media began to distribute the render, which allegedly depicts the iPhone 11 at the prototype stage. It has a significantly larger recess for accommodating three cameras, a flash and a microphone. The location of these functions inside a convex rectangle is asymmetrical – usually Apple doesn’t allow it to itself.
