he times of great service packs for Windows are over. For Windows 10 Microsoft promised to continue to make improvements and do not save more for big update packages. And yet there are the Anniversary Update, a collection of changes that Microsoft announced in late March during its Build 2016 conference.

However, the Anniversary Update should not be seen as Service Pack for Windows 10, said Tim O’Brien, General Manager Platform Strategy, as against Tweakers. Microsoft Windows 10 works thoroughly on a regular basis, but for some updates, it is simply more convenient to drop them together, because they are dependent on each other, they are down about the same time or for other reasons related.

Now Windows 10 updated several times last year and appeared there even though a relatively large operating system update in November last year. From this perspective there is indeed a Windows as a service, such as Microsoft calls its software like. But the way the software company from Redmond unpack the Anniversary Update, and it even has its own name, is striking.

Which focus on new functionality related to the expiration of the free upgrade option for Windows 10. In recent months, Microsoft has, to the ridiculous far , pulled all sorts of tricks to make Windows users to switch to Windows 10. This free upgrade option July 29 went down, and what works now better to entice new users than keeping them for a fat sausage in the form of new features.

What are these new features, we look at the Surface Pro 4 from Microsoft itself, a device that is virtually built around Windows 10. Who to Windows 10 was on the Fast Ring Insiders, in recent months has been treated regularly for mandatory restarts, and Microsoft’s OS was updated to include functionality of the Anniversary Update. On August 2, each user can expect the update.
