Find a Question:
Windows 10 gets support for mixed reality
Microsoft is preparing to roll out its latest update to Windows 10 operating system on April 11, as the company has confirmed that it is working to include MR support within the update and that all Windows 10 users will receive this support free of charge.
This may not mean much for consumers today. The first devices to be used to support the operating system for this technology are a range of devices, such as virtual reality glasses from partners such as Acer, which are supposed to be launched during the holiday season.
In October, Microsoft unveiled a bold new vision for its new operating system Windows 10 with the new update called “Updating Creators”. The mixed reality technology played a big part in that update announcement, and it is finally time for that.
In the coming weeks and months, developers can get the developers’ version of Acer’s Windows 10 mixed-mode technology to go into the depths of experience and dive deep into the industry to start making content suitable for this type of glasses, which has six degrees of freedom.
The new system update includes many new features that Windows 10 users can get, some of which may go beyond the possibilities of mixed reality when they arrive. For example, the 3D content creation feature provides a large part of the update, which can provide new applications Such as the 3D Paint 3D Paint application.
For Microsoft, this is another step closer to its ultimate goal of providing real hybrid reality through its HoloLens, now available at $ 3,000 for developers and businesses.
Users can still use Oculus Rift and HTC Vive glasses after the update arrives and use them through various applications, but they have not yet announced plans to integrate their virtual reality glasses with the same operating system.
Not all Windows devices have the mixed-reality support feature yet. For example, Project Scorpio, the upgraded version of the Xbox One gaming platform, is supposed to support mixed-content content in 2018.Viewing:-164
