Windows 8.1 Update 1: exit Windows will be easier
There are so things that do not understand, but what often is up to you. As also in this case. As the title already says, shutting down the PCs running Windows to be 8.1 Update 1 simplified. Specifically, it is about new buttons on the home screen. There is on fresh surfaced screenshots to see a shutdown button. This means, from the home screen at least two clicks, so that the PC shuts down. However, even under Windows 8.1 is to shut down in two clicks possible (right click on the Windows button, shutdown).
Also, see: a button for search. This in turn makes sense to currently come to the search, long ways have to be covered with the mouse in the normal case. However, it seems clear that Microsoft actually criticism the user has accepted and trying to come forward with these small changes. What an accomplished user has internalized rapidly, the masses may well present problems.
Also the processing of tiles is simplified. To change a tile in size or to pin to the taskbar, there is in Windows 8.1 Update 1, a context menu that offers these options. So far, you have to click on the tile and then make the appropriate changes to the bottom of the screen. In conjunction with a touch screen no problem with the mouse but also occur here relatively long distances, the cost is simply time.
Even though I’m still not a big fan of the Modern UI (on laptops or desktops on a tablet sees a different matter), it’s nice to see that Microsoft is not quite as stubborn and contrary to the users comes with trifles. Back to the topic shutdown, you interfere with the present ability to shut down the PC or do you have you already used to it?
