Find a Question:
Windows 8.1 will appear in October
Been around for a while, we know that Windows 8.1, at times also called Windows Blue, will be available in the fall. Now the whole thing is something undefined and we can expect in October with the update to the latest version. At least that Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet. And that actually makes very often relied upon.
According to Mary 8.1 on Windows should go later this month in the RTM status. So release-to-manifacturing. Say, the first OEM devices will be equipped with the new version. Shortly after the update is then available for everyone. And who already has Windows 8 gets the update of course free and can then safely obtained from the Microsoft website or from Windows Update. But I’m still not quite sure. Presumably, it is but just like the service packs offered as a major update. So that really every user gets wind of it. Because not everyone is as enthusiastic about technology as we are and informs about the latest things.
In the latest version of the Start button will return again and finally you can boot directly into the desktop. The former is unfortunately only be a modified version of that beloved start menu from previous versions we will probably officially no longer get to see. Too bad.
