Find a Question:
Windows version Quantum Break will be exclusive to the Windows Store
The Windows version of Quantum Break will not be available on digital distribution platforms like Steam. Instead publisher Microsoft will only offer the game digitally via its own Windows Store.
Aaron Greenberg, head of marketing for Xbox Games, does the information revealed in a recent episode of Major Nelson Radio. Quantum Break will only run on DX12. It is not the first time that Microsoft products are used as a lever to another proprietary product focus. A well-known example from the past is Halo 2. The American company made the decision to make the Windows version of the game exclusively for Windows Vista, which at that time was its latest operating system. The Redmondse company wanted to exploit the popularity of the franchise to boost sales pres Stations of Vista. Also 10 version of DirectX that time exclusively for Windows Vista.
In addition, recently the recommended system requirements for the game lowered. Where previously a GeForce GTX 980 Ti and a Core i7 4790 was recommended, which is now a GTX 970 and a Core i5 4690. What first fell below the recommended specifications, now falls under the ‘ultra’ specifications. The minimum requirements are the same. That is evident from screenshots collected by Wccftech. Quantum Break is April 5 for Xbox One and Windows 10.Viewing:-120
