WinRAR logo (60 pix) RAR Labs has the final release of version 5.10 of its archiving programs, RAR and WinRAR released. The popular compression tool is available for various operating systems, including Windows, Linux and OS X. The program can handle the most common formats – including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and Z – has a skinnable interface, and support for Zip64 and multi-volume cab files. In version 5.10 has been added include unpacking support bzip2, lzma and PPMD archives, and 7z archives are split. Added extraction support for ZIP and ZIPX archives using BZIP2, LZMA compression and PPMD.
Added extraction support for 7z split archives (.7 z.001, .7 z.002, …).
Added support for AES-NI instructions CPU-allowing encryption and decryption to improvesleep RAR performance.
Default theme images are scaled up with better quality at high DPI display mode.
Environment variables, zoals% temp%, can be used in the “Files to add” field of archiving dialog.
Switch-ai can be used when creating RAR archive, so predefined values, typical for file and folder are stored instead of actual attributes. Previously this switch could be used only when extracting.
