He does not know how the support is added. Presumably, Microsoft performs the adjustment by a software update.

When Microsoft released the wireless adapter in early November, it was found to work only with Windows 10 PCs. Why Microsoft made this choice was not obvious. The adapter costs 22.99 euros and works with the standard Xbox One controller as with the Elite version.
