Intermatrix U7 Ubuntu Tablet
In the race of tablet computers entered another technology company. Australian manufacturer Intermatrix prepares to exit “the world’s first Ubuntu-tablet.”
New code-named U7 , and is characterized by the following parameters: 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with IPS-panel, 4-core Cortex A9 processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz, the graphics chip is Vivante GC1000 + quad-core, 1 GB of memory, 16 GB of internal memory and two web cams on each side of the hull.
Everything would be fine if it were not for the system requirements for Ubuntu. For normal operation of the operating system requires 2 GB of RAM.
U7 supplies begin in October 2013, along with other mobile devices, Canonical promised . The company is already taking pre-orders for the tablet , which costs 307 dollars. Given a 10 percent discount it will cost 274 dollars. Intermatrix warns that the price of the tablet is not definitive. If the final price will be lower, then the manufacturer will return the difference.
