WSJ: Google is working on Fri second seat with its own display and processor
Google is not only working on a new VR viewer for smartphones, but also a standalone headset that works without a PC, console or smartphone. This version will be displayed its own screen and processor, and perhaps this year.
In addition to its own screen and, according to contain the Wall Street Journal ‘high-powered’ processors, the VR headset would be outward facing cameras. Google would co-operate with the holding Movidius in the use of these motion-tracking cameras. Details do not continue to report the WSJ; a source of the company claims that the headset can still appear this year while another source refers to a project that is in an early stage and may not lead to a product.
Last week, the Financial Times came up with the rumor that Google with a new VR goggles for smartphones which is more advanced that his cardboard Cardboard model. That Google would become a competitor of Samsung, which sells its Gear VR goggles. The new standalone Google would compete with Oculus, HTC and Sony, but the distinguishing feature would be that no PC or console required.Viewing:-237
