XBMC 13 Gotham brings AirPlay to Android
XBMC has the new alpha version of Android made up an important feature against its major counterparts on other platforms. Android devices can also serve as an AirPlay receiver immediately. XBMC can also be used as the default player for video, audio and image files when these files are opened from a file explorer.
The other improvements / changes you please can extract the official blog post about XBMC 13 Gotham . There is also the download links for all versions (at the bottom of the page). I myself have never used XBMC and I do not plan it, so I can say very little about whether the changes now are great or not.
Should you use XBMC, maybe even on different devices, but says times in the comments, why do I need it necessarily. Maybe I let myself time but then hit a wide XBMC tinkering.
