Xerox Scan reacts to problems, change the numbers on documents
Yesterday we reported on the Xerox copier, the numbers change when copying documents under certain circumstances. Xerox now responded in his own blog on the discovery.
As of David Kriesel guessed correctly , the number changes come from the JBIG2 compression method. In combination with low resolution settings may result in said misconduct. Xerox has a relatively simple solution to the problem.
Xerox empfioehlt, easy to dispense with the high compression of the data. More of a workaround than a solution and not really satisfactory. You still trying to choose the high compression, there are at least a warning:
“The normal quality option Produces small file sizes by using advanced compression techniques. Image quality is acceptable gene rally, HOWEVER, text quality degradation and character substitution errors May Occur with some originals. ”Viewing:-130
