Chinese phone maker Chaomi Xiaomi shipped 23.16 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2017, the highest quarterly shipments ever made by the company, bringing the company back on track for its rapid growth after two years of operation. The company’s chief executive, Lee John, said in a letter to his employees that the company achieved a big achievement this quarter, after it shipped 23.16 million smartphones during the second quarter, up 70 percent from the previous quarter. Shaomi is the only company that has been able to resume growth after a drop in total sales.

The company’s recovery comes after a year of setbacks, the year the chief executive claimed was the most difficult period in the company’s history. He faced supply chain problems and issues that hampered the company’s business for several months, leading to low sales, As a result of the corrections and improvements that followed those problems.

In his letter to employees, Lee cited IDC’s report on Redmi Note 4 and that the smartphone became the highest selling smart phone in India and attributed the company’s revenue growth to its investment in R & D, product quality improvements, customer service and launch of Surge chips S1 and launch smartphones such as Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2.

John claimed that many of these shipments were due to the company’s online and offline online strategy adopted by Shawomi in recent years. Currently, it owns 123 Mi stores in China, and plans to open 14 more stores on July 8.

The company boasts of applying for 7071 international patents last year, of which 2,955 were granted. Half of these patents are international patents. The CEO ended the letter by setting a revenue target of 100 billion yuan for this year and another target Is to ship 100 million smartphones in 2018.
