Yahoo dismisses much of its employees in India




Yahoo has laid off a large portion of its employees in India. The layoffs would practically mean the end of the Software Development Centre in Bangalore, which is the largest research center of Yahoo was outside Silicon Valley. It is the largest layoff since 2012.

What is clear is that it is mostly developers and ensure that the Software Development Centre in Bangalore is virtually shut down. It is unclear how many employees Yahoo has in India but estimates are based on 1500 to a total of about 12,000. It is the largest layoff since 2012, when 2,000 jobs Yahoo deleted . Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is under pressure to improve results. The company took in recent years a number of small businesses in the United States over but wants its workforce by too much growth.
