Yahoo has indicated that the IM service, Messenger will soon be unsupported. This put an end to the software that was launched eighteen years ago. Incidentally, Yahoo has already released a new instant messaging service.

Yahoo logo According to the company is no longer the old chat software from August 5 to use ; on that day Yahoo put the ability to log in from. The idea is that users switch to the new Messenger, which was launched in December. This app works on Android, iOS and desktop, and facilities include integration with Flickr and Tumblr.

By discontinuing the old Messenger comes to an end a period of eighteen. Yahoo released the chat software in 1998 on the market, then still under the name Pager. The software was especially popular in parts of Asia, and there is also still widely used.

Yahoo has long been working on software services that do not run well to repel. That has to do with a reorganization allowing the company to again be profitable. Last week it was still known to be sold 3,000 patents.
