Yota brings smartphone with LCD and E-Ink screen soon to Netherlands

The Russian company Yota brings his YotaPhone, an Android smartphone with an LCD on the front screen and electronic ink on the back, soon in the Netherlands. The Russian company announced the unit on December 4 for the Dutch market.

When the unit actually in the store will be and how much it will cost, says a spokesperson on behalf of Yota not in an interview with Tweakers. The YotaPhone was some time ago at a Dutch shop in advance, with the store said to deliver him in mid-December for 699 euros.

The Russian manufacturer has at his second YotaPhone front a 5 “screen with full HD resolution placed while at the back a 4.7” display of electronic ink is a resolution of 960×540 pixels. That second screen users can use for displaying maps with navigation, shopping lists, notifications when the LCD is off and for reading e-books. The phone runs on Android 4.4 with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon SOC 800 at 2.3GHz.

Yota has already created a smaller YotaPhone, but that never came out in the Netherlands. The company seems to have close ties with the Russian government, the Russian President Vladimir Putin last week gave his Chinese counterpart duplicate the YotaPhone, wrote RT then.
