Ziggo has lost 200,000 customers in 2015

Ziggo has seen leave more than 50,000 customers in the quarter, bringing the loss of customers in 2015 to 200,000 suits. The provider writes the decline to increased competition and reduced marketing expenses.

In total Ziggo lost in the quarter ended December 31 35,400 customers of a base station range and 15,900 customers a more comprehensive TV package. Also gone are 7100 telephony customers in the quarter. This was offset by 6,500 new internet subscribers. The decrease in the number of customers amounted to 51,300 in the quarter. Ziggo now has a total of 4.09 million customers, where a year ago, 4.29 million were . The company claims that the customer departure is the result of increased competition, network operations and price increases.

Customers are taking 4.09 million television off, 3.1 million and 2.54 million internet telephony. According to the vendor arrived there in late 2015 141.000 new subscribers for Horizon TV on, so there are now 706,000 users for this service. This would compensate for the loss of TV customers. Also at Replay TV there was growth: the number of users increased by 34 percent to 460,000.

The number of active users of the Horizon Go app would have increased by 445,000 to 720,000 and for the rag-service MyPrime Ziggo would now have 300,000 active users, an increase of 190,000.

The number of mobile customers rose throughout 2015 increased by 57,000 to 187,000. Ziggo will grow significantly in the mobile market and begins therefore a joint venture with Vodafone.
