Ziggo increases speed All-in-1 Basic package to 40/4 Mbit / s – update 2
Ziggo has the upload and download speeds of the All-in-1 Basic package incremented. Instead of 30 / 3Mbit / s cable provider now delivers a speed of 40/4 Mbit / s. Customers with All-in-1 Plus and All-in-1 Extra were already a speed increase.
The speed increase has not been officially announced by Ziggo, but subscribers with an All-in-1 Basic subscription get the new download speed of 40Mbit / s and an upload speed of 4MB / s after resetting the modem. However, the implemented rate increase is lower than expected: UPC, which merges with Ziggo, offers its customers in the All-in-1 Basic package at a rate of 50 / 5Mbit / s. Ziggo or the Basic package later time will raise these speeds, is not clear.
In February announced Ziggo already a speed increase for All-in-1 Plus and Extra. Instead of the ‘old’ download and upload speed of 180/18 Mbit / s, the All-in-1 Extra package at a rate of 200 / 20Mbit / s. Subscribers to the All-in-1 Plus package decline saw the rate increase from 90 / 9Mbit / s to 120 / 12Mbit / s.
Update, 19:54: Customers with a Z1 subscription also report an increase to 40 / 4Mbit / s.
Update, 20:10: Ziggo confirms the speed increase to Tweakers. The speed increase is only available to customers with a EuroDOCSIS 3-compatible modem. Customers who have an older modem, Ziggo can request a new modem.Viewing:-143
