Ziggo will offer HbbTV in 2016 in entire service area




Ziggo brings the HbbTV service in 2016 to provide all customers with TVs that support it. So far, the service is only available in the former UPC catchment area. Users must have a TV with built-in receiver.

Only Ziggo customers living in areas where previously UPC provider was able to now use HbbTV, but that will change. In 2016, the service is also to the other service areas. This confirms Ziggo against Tweakers after notification from TotaalTV matter.

When exactly Ziggo starts circulating, the company can not say. Customers who want to use HbbTV have to have a TV with built-in digital receiver. The interactive service works outside of Horizon Media Box to and is added to the signal transmitters.
